Matt’s melodic yet grounded style serves the song first, whether he’s locking into a groove or driving a high-energy jam. His chemistry with the ensemble creates the foundation for the band’s signature harmonies and acoustic textures to shine. Matt is also a civil engineer, running a local engineering office. Some of his projects include PeaceHealth Riverbend Hospital and Eugene Riverfront Park. Whether on stage or in the office, he’s in demand, but his most important role is father and husband. For Matt, fatherhood means blending professional life with a loving commitment to family, along with his wife Megan Bassett, the band’s vocalist.
